Information we collect
Depending on how you use Scanpubs, we may collect:
- Account data: name, email address, password hash, plan tier, and preferences you set in your profile.
- Billing data: subscription status, invoices, and payment references processed by our payment provider (we do not store full card numbers).
- Site and audit data: URLs you submit, crawl results, audit scores, reports, Fix Center items, and other outputs generated from your sites.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, approximate location derived from IP, logs, and security events.
- Communications: messages you send to support or via contact forms.
- Guest preview data: limited session data when you try features without signing in, which may expire automatically.
How we use information
We use personal data to:
- Provide, operate, and improve audits, dashboards, and paid features
- Authenticate users and protect accounts from abuse
- Process subscriptions and send billing-related notices
- Respond to support requests and product feedback
- Analyze aggregated usage to improve reliability and UX
